looking out...

I'm getting excited about our next teaching series at North Way. I know, we just kicked off the "Hope Summit", but I'm looking forward to a 5-week series on the Lord's Prayer in October. The working title of this series is "Two-Way Monologue", and I think that's a great title (props to Lindsey Philips). Here's why...when people often pray, we pray to God (ask for something, guidance, stuff, etc.), and we often answer for God too. So, what's meant to be a two-way conversation with God ends up being a two-way monologue with only us speaking. So...as I look out towards October, I'm going to be screening my prayers and checking my heart motives.
