Do you know the times when you get something new...you always notice that "something" a lot more? Take a new car...you always seem to see more of that kind of car now that you're driving it. Take a new pair of shoes...it seems that you see those kind of shoes more often now. That's what has been happening since I have preached on "faith without works is dead" from James 2.
I have been picking up on issues of "active faith" more recently. For instance, as I was driving in this morning, I heard another message on faith vs. fear which was one of the points James makes about the faith of demons...that cause you to operate in reaction of fear.
I'm wondering if it's because I just preached on the subject, or if God is trying to get something through to me. Maybe both.
