This Sunday at North Way at the Worship Cafe, we will baptize a handful of people. For me, this is a day that I get a glimpse of fruit in ministry. People will be publicly declaring that Jesus is the savior and leader of their life. They will tell their story in front of their family and friends, and I know how much it means to them. These baptism services are huge for all who attend!
I'll never forget my baptism. My wife baptized me in the Pacific Ocean in front of a group of students that we had taken on a mission trip. We went to serve people on the outskirts of Cancun, Mexico, and I ended up getting baptized. There's a long story to go with this, but that day will be forever special to me.
Does anybody else think it's weird that baptism has an "s", but baptize has a "z" in it?
