Are we ever ready to be confronted by the LORD? Are we ready to face our sins head on? I will share this weekend how David (after some MAJOR life mistakes) was confronted by the Prophet Nathan. In 2 Samuel 12, Nathan lays the smack down on David because God had led him to do so. Nathan was so bold in his approach, and he literally could have lost his life for confronting the King in this way, but Nathan cared more about obeying the Lord than dying.
Then David did one of the hardest thing for any human to do. After he was confronted by Nathan, he swallowed his pride and owned his sin. He confessed by saying, "I have sinned against the LORD." Not only did he own it, but he understood that there was nothing he could do to make it right.
That's an incredibly hard spot to be in, but quite frankly...all of us are in that same spot!
