James 4:1-12

This weekend was a tough but good weekend. I have been troubled all week leading up to this weekend because I was assigned to preach James 4:1-12. This is some of the harshest language in the New Testament towards Christians (or people that call themselves by that name).

I was personally raked over the coals by God through this passage. There were a lot of things/areas/rooms of my heart and life that I needed to surrender and submit to Him. I was gently handled by the Holy Spirit as he chipped away at those areas where I think I know better than God. Sanctification is not an easy process, but it's freeing!

Now I'm getting to preach again next weekend. Let's see what God does.
