I am re-reading "Wild Goose Chase" with a good friend, and it's terribly challenging. That's a good thing, and it's a hard thing. Our most recent chapter had this little challenge from Mark Batterson:
"When I fail to pray, the best I can do is the best I can do. I forfeit my spiritual potential. But when I pray, the best I do is no longer the best I can do. The best I can do is the best God can do. And He is able to do immeasurably more than all I can ask or imagine."
It leaves me to ask the question of: where am I relying on myself and not the power of God in and through me?
