During this time of darkness (literally), we have been trying to see things from a positive standpoint. My wife and I have been trying to use this "inconvenience" as a teachable moment for our daughters. We have been trying to teach them about third-world countries that don't even have electricity. We've been trying to talk with them about little ones (even in our country) that will go to bed in the dark every night...without covers...this sort of thing.
From the time of my last post, we received a phone call at 7pm that our power was back on at our home! Nice. But one hilarious moment came when my oldest daughter came running into our house saying, "Goodbye adventure! We like the light!"
I guess every teachable moment has an ending!
