As I was working out this morning, I had a couple thoughts about King David. I think a couple of the reasons that I am so drawn to him in the scriptures are: 1) the lessons he learns are lessons I'm often learning (patience, calling, brokenness). It's good company. 2) He screwed up big, and God still used him to advance His kingdom. Also comforting for me. God chooses to use us despite our failures and shortcomings.
