As I'm preparing to deliver the message on Good Friday, I have landed on Matthew 27:45-53 as my text to preach from. I'm excited to participate in the celebration of baptisms. Many of my friends from the Worship Cafe are getting baptized that night!
As I'm reflecting on what God gave me to preach, I'm being challenged. This is the norm for me. I can't get up to preach and take lightly what I'm speaking about. God is dealing with me. He is pointing out the sin in my life that I might leave unnoticed. It's easy to overlook some of the small stuff, right? But, I'm reminded that even the "small stuff" held Jesus on that cross! Quite humbling to think about.
