Henry Blackaby quote

I'm reading "A God Centered Church" by Henry Blackaby. This quote is referring to something I've been talking about in the Worship Cafe since the beginning.

Isn't it interesting that the natural response of a Christian has become unnatural? We have been so conditioned by the world that we hurry away to our own home and don't want to get involved in the lives of God's people. Love cannot hurry away; it is expressed in the time and energy we invest in one another. The greatest testimony of a loving church is how fast the building empties after the service has concluded.

This is one of the core values of North Way at the Worship Cafe. I think one of the best ways to build and thrive in community is to leverage the time before and after a corporate worship service. Come early and stay late. Interact and engage with others. This is one way relationships are formed and people are cared for.
