My Uncle John passed away this past Saturday night after a struggle with cancer. For most of his life, he rejected the truth of Jesus Christ. The majority of my extended family have a relationship with Jesus, but Uncle John was the minority. I'm not sure what happened in his life. Maybe it was what he saw in the Navy. Maybe it was a few too many Bible thumpers that threw him over the edge. But, my Aunts and Uncles were faithful to love him with Jesus' love, and he (on his death bed) accepted Christ's death and resurrection for his sins. He gave his heart to Jesus, and a few days later he died.
My dad said, I've been praying for him for over 40 years. Perseverance by all the family paid off for Uncle John's eternity with God. Never give up on those that reject the truth. You never know what God has in store for them. Stay faithful and persevere.
