hard conversations...

Just recently I had to have a pretty difficult conversation. I obviously can't share the details. I am learning (I already knew this, but this is a different level) that there will be times when a hard situation finds you simply because you are a leader. The situation is difficult. The scripture's truth must be shared in gentleness and love, but that doesn't make it easy. There have been several times in the last year that I have been engaged in a tough issue and had to have the hard conversation. I am learning that if you approach it in prayer and humility, people usually respond positively. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised a couple times when I thought it wasn't going to go well. I guess being a leader sometimes requires you to share the unpopular truth.
