distracted again...

There are so many things that can distract us from the mission of the Church. A lot of these things can be very good, but they do distract. Take attendance for instance...it's great when it's up, but I often feel depressed when it's down. Take feedback...it's wonderful when it's good, it's hard to take when it's bad. Take volunteer ownership...it's so good to see many people take hold of the vision and serve, it's a bit rough when you're practically begging for people to get involved. If you focus on any of these things too much, it takes your focus off the main thing...worshiping God PERIOD. All that other stuff will come when we focus on Him.
